To test for authenticity, Max Pawn Luxury partners with third party companies such as Entrupy and Authentic Detective to test the authenticity of shoes, handbags, and jewelry.  Their technologies are designed to identify new and evolving types of counterfeit products, ensuring they can spot even the most sophisticated fakes.

Handbags & Shoes

Max Pawn Luxury uses Entrupy to test most of our pre-loved luxury handbags and shoes for authenticity. All of our Team Members are trained on the testing process which involves taking multiple microscopic level photos of the product, its hardware, and any other identifiable elements. Entrupy is on the cutting edge of advanced AI technology and maintains an extensive database of over 25 million images to stay ahead of counterfeiters. It continuously updates its system with new data and discoveries to adapt to the ever-changing counterfeit landscape​.

In addition, we often check online images and search luxury brand websites to stay up-to-date on which red flags to look for that could indicate inauthentic merchandise.

Diamonds

At Max Pawn Luxury, we use state-of-the-art diamond testing machines to test both natural and lab grown diamonds, so our customers know exactly what type of stone is being purchased. We also test for cubic zirconia and other simulated stones.

In order to provide even more peace of mind, we send any diamond of high quality and grade over 1 ct to GIA for a certified Diamond Grading Report. Any lab grown diamond over 1 ct comes with an International Gemological Institute certified Diamond
Report with the report number being laser inscribed on the
girdle of the stone.

Depending on the specific item, we require a Certificate of Authenticity (COA) or equivalent documentation to verify its provenance and legitimacy.
